I don't like audience recordings, but this one is GREAT!
I'm hearing impaired and wear hearing aids (too many concerts in my youth...). Because of that, the muffled, echoey sound of many audience recordings just do not sit well with me. As a result, I'm not wild about audience recordings and I have only come across a few that I've considered worthy of downloading. This is one of the few...
The sound here isn't perfect, but as audience recordings go, it's top-of-the-line. Good job, Chris Larson! So, the audio for me is fine. The performance? WOW in the W.O.W.! Set II especially just soars! RRE just keeps getting better and better! This is a great show, and since it's a decent sounding audience recording, this one got downloaded.
(Editorial: I bought Elko, and would have even if the band hadn't changed its policy about soundboard patches. I wish someone from RRE would realize that Hobos will buy commercial live recordings -- even if there are soundboards available! I'm hoping the switch to SCI Fidelity means that RRE will be doing what String Cheese does and at least make soundboards of shows available for purchase. If not, I suggest the band do what Phil Lesh & Friends do -- release at least a FEW soundboards every year...please!!!!!!)
So, good sound, great music. Why are you still reading this? Start downloading!

Seems like every show is great these days. The boys are on fire this tour and this is an excellent tape. Check it out!
Listen to this for the Warhead, if for nothing else. A taste of what the Fillmore was like, for certain.

I'm hardly qualified to rate this performance as compared to other Railroad Earth shows. This was my first show (I was THERE, man!) and I'm just starting to get familiar with RRE's music. But I can compare this perfomance to the whole world of music, and for that I give it 5 stars!
This recording sounds great to me. Clean audio and just enough crowd noise to enhance the live feeling of it all without any annoyance. And the music is incredible. RRE seems on fire with energy. The second set changed my life, more or less. By the time you get to the end of Warhead Boogie, your brain will be cooked! Now I know why that spaced-out, tie-dyed young hippie at the show was wearing an apron!
Thanks to the band and Chris for sharing the music!

I want a Warhead of my own!
WOW indeed - what a great show and a beautiful recording. Mikey sure had the room sounding fantastic. Skehan's biting accents on Warhead are searing through my being right now.
Great job Chris and Thank You!
